Create stock.warehouse.orderpoint records per product and location with minimum, maximum, and multiple quantities. Confirm routes generate purchase or manufacturing procurements, set vendor lead times on product.supplierinfo, and let the scheduler create purchase.order or mrp.production proposals. Review Replenishment dashboard daily for exceptions and snoozed rules.
Steps
- Inventory → Operations → Replenishment: open product and warehouse context.
- Create reordering rule with Min, Max, and Qty Multiple on the correct stock.location.
- Set product route to Buy or Manufacture; verify stock.rule pull/push chain to vendors.
- Enter vendor lead time and delay on purchase tab supplier pricelist lines.
- Enable MTO only where intentional; otherwise use stock buffers with min/max.
- Schedule procurement scheduler (cron) or run manually in debug for tests.
- Monitor Exceptions view for products without vendors or BOMs.
Common mistakes
- Orderpoints on view locations instead of stock quants location.
- Max below min or zero multiple causing odd PO quantities.
- Missing supplierinfo so buy route fails silently in exceptions.
- Duplicate rules per warehouse doubling purchase proposals.
- Ignoring forecasted demand from open SO and MO in min/max tuning.
Odoo version notes
Replenishment uses stock.warehouse.orderpoint in Community and Enterprise 16–18. Enterprise MRP adds master production schedule integrations. Version 17 Replenishment UI consolidates buy/manufacture triggers—revalidate rules after migration. High-volume sites should tune procurement cron frequency and use route-specific warehouses.
